Urlpoetry.club
URL Poetry Club is an experiment in writing found poetry using domain names.
The project reflects on how we discover and remember the websites we love. Today, we rarely remember a domain name by heart. Instead, we find it by searching. We have given away our memory to engines and algorithms, much as we stopped remembering phone numbers. URL Poetry Club is also an investigation into how kinship is formed online. Each poem becomes a small constellation of other people's creations, held together by affection, coincidence, and the strange poetry of the web.
I would like URL Poetry Club to grow into a workshop where people gather to write poems together, using websites as both material and inspiration. An exercise in paying attention to the internet around us, and in writing as an act of care and liberation.
